Behaviorism
Behaviorism is true. It's there. It works. Some might argue that anything could be intrinsically defined as a reward or punishment, and so all our learning is behaviorist, but that contradicts the idea that behaviorism doesn't apply to creativity or thinking. Here it comes- I am sure people are saying that you have to be creative and think about what you will do next in order to receive the reward- but then the question begs: are we still talking about behaviorism?
I use these games sometimes with my students, or rather, I give them links to games that I think might help them understand concepts
Are we confusing reinforcements with automatic behavior that comes from rewards/punishments? When you do different things- attempt different approaches- you are being creative to reach a goal.
