TPACK readings Day 2

TPACK - Mishra & Koehler (Reading #2 here)

The shorter of the readings was an introduction to TPACK. Basically the same thing we learned about last year, it served to reiterate what I understand TPACK to be. To sum it up in a few lines (if that is even possible); TPACK is the idea that you need to understand not only the content of what you are teaching, but the methods you are using to best relay that content (the pedagogy), and the best technology with which to apply that pedagogy to getting the message across. You have to have knowledge of the methodologies, how they apply, how they work best, what purpose they serve, as well as know how to use the technologies to your best purpose.
